Merano Wine Festival Ugolini Vini

Merano Wine Festival 2025: Valpolicella by Ugolini awaits you, in a sip of elegance and sharing.

From November 7th to 11th, 2025, Merano once again becomes the capital of wine with the 34th edition of the Merano Wine Festival, the “fine salon” of European wine. An event that, year after year, stands out for its cultural mission: fostering an open dialogue between visions, philosophies, and territorial identities, perfectly expressed by its official subtitle “Vision: Wine & Food Creators”.

In a time of change for the wine world, with consumption slowing, new habits emerging, and NoLow trends gaining ground, the Merano Wine Festival confirms itself as a place of dialogue, exploration, and sharing, where wine once again becomes a language and a bridge between cultures.

For the eleventh consecutive year, on November 8th, 9th, and 10th, Ugolini Vini will take part in the prestigious South Tyrolean event. On the tasting table, some of the wines that best embody the philosophy, terroir, and excellence of Valpolicella will take center stage: Valle Alta Amarone della Valpolicella Classica DOCG 2013, San Michele Valpolicella Classico Superiore DOC 2018, San Michele della Chiesa Valpolicella Classico Superiore DOC 2015, and Valle Lena Recioto della Valpolicella Classica DOCG 2019, all awarded at The WineHunter Award 2025.

But that’s not all! At the Ugolini Vini desk, you’ll also find a mini vertical tasting of Amarone, featuring not only the 2013 vintage, winner of the Gold Medal, but also the 2012 and the outstanding 2015 vintages.

The soul of Valpolicella in the heart of South Tyrol

In the elegant and convivial setting of Merano’s Kurhaus, Ugolini’s wines carry with them the full breath of the Valpolicella Classica: the limestone and marl of its crus, the breeze that caresses the vineyards of Fumane, and the harmony of the appassimento that gives life to its most iconic reds.

Each glass tells a story of philosophy — of patience, balance, and deep listening to the land.From the expansive sip of the Amarone 2013, infused with the strength of time, to the grace of San Michele 2018 and the depth of San Michele della Chiesa 2015, Ugolini wines speak with a gentle, sincere, and never boastful voice — the true voice of Valpolicella.

Ugolini Vini: the wines not to miss

Shining this year, however, will be the wines awarded at The WineHunter Award 2025:

  • Valle Alta Amarone della Valpolicella Classica DOCG 2013, deep and elegant, with the nobility of a wine that knows how to age gracefully;

  • San Michele Valpolicella Classico Superiore DOC 2018, a story of balance and refinement, capable of expressing all the beauty of the vineyard from which it is born;

  • San Michele della Chiesa Valpolicella Classico Superiore DOC 2015, produced only in the finest vintages, a wine of character and memory, awarded for its complexity and persistence;

  • Valle Lena Recioto della Valpolicella Classica DOCG 2019, a sweet wine of extraordinary balance, never cloying.

For Ugolini Vini, these awards represent not just an achievement, but a confirmation that the work carried out among the vines and in the cellar is moving in the right direction.

Merano: where wine becomes encounter

“The beauty of the Merano Wine Festival is that, more than an event, it feels like a true celebration,”says Giambattista Ugolini, founder of the winery.“We come together, united by the common thread of good wine. It’s a wonderful occasion of reunion, where producers, enthusiasts, and professionals recognize themselves as part of one big family.” And he adds: “My heartfelt thanks to Helmut Köcher, the soul of the Festival, for always welcoming us with open arms and for the care with which he turns each edition into a truly unique experience. It’s an honor to be part of this story.”

A toast to Merano, an embrace to the wine community

For Ugolini Vini, being at the Merano Wine Festival means sharing an emotion, bringing a piece of Valpolicella to the heart of Europe, meeting familiar faces, exchanging ideas, and feeling the warmth of those who live wine as a form of art.

Here, between a glass and a handshake, wine rediscovers its truest purpose: bringing people together.
